The Creature Part 13 is the thirteenth part of the [Super Dragon 2nd]『 The Creature 』.
Plot[]
A scream was heard, and at the same time, a roaring sound was faintly heard from outside the barracks. Distantly, the sound of horses neighing echoes, and a red light was projected onto the tent. Without a moment's hesitation, Kana quickly put on the Blairs Taina on both hands.
Kana was standing inside a simple tent, more broadly speaking, the campsite of the Third Order of Templers, who risk their lives to work in the distribution industry under the name of the Holy Religion State of Harrell, and who were tasked with guarding the dozens of merchants and their attendants for a better life for the people.
On the outside, it looked like an ordinary, secluded vacant in the prairie and dozens of tents, but in reality, it's a remote area where danger can strike at any time - although it's a relatively safe route that has been proven among merchants for a long time.
There, lying on the bed, exhausted from the journey, she should have been sleeping soundly for a long time, when an unexpected scream came..... Kana wasn't foolish enough to not notice such an obvious situation.
Kana thought Monster? No, if it was a monster, there would be no way it would make such a fuss... The templars could handle it well enough......
Kana, who had been lost in thought for a moment while wiggling her knuckles, soon shook off her thoughts. Then, Kana opened the curtain and calmly asked outside.
Kana asked what's going on?
One of the guards standing guard near the barracks answered Kana's question in a terrified voice, bowing his head as if embarrassed.
The guard answered uh... they're creatures.....
Kana suddenly frowned as she looked at the guard, who was trying hard to look brave, but whose spear tip was already shaking. It was the answer Kana had expected. Kana had hoped it wouldn't be. Kana clenched her fists. It was time for Kana to step forward.
*
The surrounding objects disappeared behind before they could even come into view. With each step, the ground dug, lifting Kana's slender body into the air. Kana was running across the grassland at a fast speed like a shot arrow.
Leaving behind the huge vacant that was by no means small, and the numerous barracks that filled it, Kana ran across the grassland like a seasoned beast, and in less than a minute, she was able to face the ones who had created this chaos.
At the temporary outpost north of the campsite, on the dark grassland, hiding in the darkness, there were 'things' leisurely passing between the templars with their red eyes flashing. Rough gray fur swaying under the moonlight, and the four legs underneath resiliently kicking the ground, biting the human in half with one breath. The sword swings and the spear thrusts, but it easily leaped more than 32.9 feet (10 meters) and blocked the moonlight from the sight of the humans. Soon, when the huge curtain of darkness fell on the templars, their firm faith disappeared and only cried that were extremely faithful to the natural emotions of humans burst out.
The templars shouted eww!
The horses that lost their masters galloped across the meadow in fear, and the templars screamed desperately and became exhausted under those cruel teeth, under those strong forelegs.
Thud!
A dull crashing sound rang out. A fountain of blood spurted from the neck of the templar who had been bravely charging in a spear stance. A round object flew up in an arc in the air.
Thud... Roll....
An unrealistic, even humorous sound was heard.
......
After endless hardships and hardships, the elite of the elite, over 50 templars were dying in vain without even being able to fight back. At this tragic sight, Kana gritted her teeth and muttered the name of 'it'.
Kana muttered they're... Ryukoids.
Ryukoids, mid-level creatures classified as level 7 in the creature encyclopedia, which was divided into 15 levels, could simply be described as gray wolves in terms of appearance. However, despite Ryukoids' appearance being very similar to wolves, why was it called by a different name? Kana was trembling as she looked at it now. Ryukoids' huge bodies, whose shoulders were as high as a person's eyes, and the sly lights that passed through their two red eyes made them impossible to treat them as ordinary wolves.
The true forms of that beasts was creatures, them with bodies far superior to that of humans, with reason enough to learn systematic fighting methods, and intelligences beyond that of humans. In addition.....
Kana thought the truly scary thing is that they're incomparably stronger than wolves, but they move in packs....
That was when.
Someone shouted eww!
At that moment, a single scream broke Kana's thoughts. That's right. Now was not the time to just sit back and watch. Kana was a Saint, and everyone believed that she would save them. Kana gritted her teeth and flew. Whether Kana wanted it or not, in order to fulfill the responsibility that came with the name of 'Saint' that she was carrying.
Someone asked Ms. Kana?
Another shouted Oh! she's a Saint!
The other said Ms. Kana has come. Everyone, cheer up!
With her shoulders barely able to raise, overwhelmed by the anticipation and praise that filled every word of the joyful cries, Kana jumped between the templars and the creatures. Perhaps out of slight wariness toward the new presence, the Ryukoids stopped killing for a moment and lowered their postures to look at Kana.
Errrrrr...
Krrrr...
Under the beautiful moonlit night in the quiet meadow, a girl and a dozen or so beasts were glaring at each other.
The first to fly was Kana. Kana simply could not bear this pressure.
However, the Ryukoids quickly scattered in all directions, annoyingly enough, and thanks to that, Kana's attacks were just flying through the air without a target. The Ryukoids never missed this weak point that was so blatantly exposed that they couldn't even keep a check.
Their sharp teeth flashed in the moonlight as they rushed toward Kana. A huge mouth that could split Kana's slender waist in two with one bite, Kana flew away in a daze. Grass and dirt rose up. Kana rolled on the ground in a hurry. After that, attacks continued to come one after another. When Kana pulled back to avoid the front paws the size of an adult's cushion that were slamming down relentlessly, flashing teeth awaited her, and when she barely avoided them, sharp claws tried to tear her apart this time.
Kana moaned ugh...
Kana ground her teeth. Those Ryukoids were using all sorts of vicious methods, such as combined attacks, joint attacks, and simultaneous exhibitions, even though they were dealing with a slender (?) girl who was less than a third of their size. Of course, being vicious meant that it was effective, and thanks to that, Kana had no choice but to run around without being able to attack properly. Kana could feel to her bones that her opponent was creatures, sentient beings - her bones were actually numb because she was being beaten here and there. -
Kana thought can't it be like that time....
Although Kana wasn't recognized because there was no evidence, she was definitely a Dragon Slayer. Since Kana had defeated even the strongest creatures classified as special among creatures, in theory, she should be able to easily defeat mid-level creatures. However, reality didn't go as planned. Kana wished she could went crazy~ and beat them up like that, but her mind was as clear as ever.
As Kana barely avoided the front legs that were rushing in again and was thinking about how to improve the situation, an eerie sound suddenly came to her ears.
Whew.
The sound of something huge flying towards her, Kana quickly turned her body and crossed her arms.
Thud!
The extreme impact pierced Kana's arm and shook her internal organs.
Kana thought it hit her straight...
Without missing a moment, one of the Ryukoids swung its front paws around and struck the back of Kana's head. Fortunately, it was blocked, but the price was quite high. Kana's slender body was immediately blown into the air and was stuck in a corner of the meadow with a loud noise. Once again, dry grass leaves were scattered in the air.
Kana thought ugh...
Kana gritted her teeth in pain and got up again. However, Kana's expression showed no more courage. If it had been a direct hit just now, Kana's head would have been.....
......
Kana felt a chill down her spine and stepped back on trembling legs.
It was true that Kana's abilities had greatly improved since she acquired Blairs Taina. It was obvious just by looking at the fact that Kana, who should have been a torn corpse in the past - or rather, she shouldn't have been here in the first place - was holding her body together like this.
But... Kana had gained that power, and she wasn't using it properly. Kana could clearly see the attack. And Kana had the reflexes to dodge it. Kana had enough strength to quickly fly her body, and she had enough mana to freely use sacred spells. However, Kana's reason couldn't give her body the command to do this simple command: 'Avoid.'
Seeing Kana's hesitant backstepping, the Ryukoids realized that their opponents had no will to fight, and they stopped attacking her. Instead, the Ryukoids simply surrounded Kana with a majestic appearance. The mouth of one Ryukoid standing in the center suddenly opened.
One Ryukoid said humans who dare to show themselves before us without fear.
It flowed out in Nes, the common language of the continent. It contained a firm, earnest murderous intent.
One Ryukoid said she should taste that anger now.

P.S. The distinction between monsters and creatures is simple.
The monsters are literal monsters without intelligence. However, creatures are being with intelligence beyond humans. They're clearly different.
