The web novel is serialized in 1999 on SF/FANTASY Fiction Bulletin Board of Nownuri (나우누리) and Serial of HiTEL (하이텔) which are dial-up Internet access services by the name of ［초룡2nd］『 The Creature 』: Kalsearin the 2nd story (［Choryong2nd］『 The Creature 』: Kalsearin the 2nd story) and published in December 15, 2000 by the name of The Creature.

The publication was discontinued when the publisher, Jamobooks, closed down its fantasy novel publishing business. Afterwards, it began serialization on Cug in 2008, however, the series was intermittently interrupted. Then, Lim Kyung-bae and fellow writer Hong Jeong-hoon promised that if it was not completed by the new year, he would wear a sailor-style uniform (Serafuku) and dance to Haruhi dance with his wife, so it was completed as an Internet novel. [1][2] On December 31, 2008, at 23:59:13, the last chapter was uploaded, barely avoiding tragedy, and the readers were very disappointed. According to the YKB, he said that he would revise it someday and release it as a personal story.

Since May 2, 2020, the revised edition has been serialized on KakaoPage under the subtitle of Karsearin: Part 2.

In Dreams is a web novel that was serialized on the homepage of a group of fantasy writers, Cug, and published at August 31 ~ November 5, 2002.
