Terold Croword

Terold Croword is a character in the Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon.

Apperance[]

As a lich, Terold is a wrinkly old man with an extremely thin face reminiscent of a skeleton, and his entire body is covered in a jet black robe. [2]

When he was human, he had light skin tone, black eyes, and straight, medium-short yellow hair.

When he got older, he grew a mustache.

Personality[]

Terold fell in love with Eyralin, his adoptive mother who raised him in place of his biological mother, and ran away. He appears to have had a bad personality because he was so jealous of his sons that he pushed them off a cliff to death and he had a hand in forbidden magic, the magic of becoming a Lich.

Biography[]

Season 2[]

About 200 years ago, at 87 AC, when he was 23 years old, he was a human. He was the heir to the Croword Family, a knightly family, but thanks to her which her name was Eyralin's support he was set on his magical path. After his's mother died, she kept his father company. She was ineed like a mother to him. However, his feelings for her were that of attraction that a child would not have toward their mother. Hence, he knew no one must find out about the feelings he secretly harbored. It was all for the sake of upholding the reputation of the Croword Family, and the honor of his father, who was renowned as a great knight. But also he waned to stay by her side. There was no going back. He gave up everything. He status as a royal mage, the lavish wealth that came with being the best in the kingdom, and the reputation and honor of the Croword Family and his father. He put all that behind him when he ran. It was to love her. He feels in love with a woman who was forbidden to him. As a result, he lost everything. And yet, his heart was more at peace than ever. Time flew by. Their children grew from babies to boys, and from boys into adults. It was then that he felt fear. Despite the passage of time, she remained young and beautiful. It looked more natural for her to be with their children, than to be with him, who had aged. She's all he has now. He thought bue she doesn't still love him. Even if he's growing old and ugly. What if she lives him. Not long after, his sons fell off a cliff while hunting and they all dead. Fortunately, he knew enough magic to earn the title of an archmage. In the end, he practiced forbidden magic, and gave up being a human. After becoming a lich, he goes to her who was taking care of their youngest son at the time. He said to her that he knows she's not a human, but he doesn't care what she's, because now, they can be together forever. She said something did happen to him, even if he doesn't say that, they'll be together forever, for as long as he live, that was. At this time, she suddenly drops their son to the ground. Their son cries. He shouts in surprise that what was the meaning of this. She said this dream ends here, so he's become a lich, he foolish mortal, well, she admits this life was quite interesting, it was quite something watching he kill his own offspring out of jealousy, the life of the human named Eyralin ends here, human life was only valuable because it ends, humans live in the present because their lives are finite, and in doing so, their lives become meaningful, yet he threw away the value of his life as a blessed being, what value he does hold now as a foolish mortal. She returns to her original self. He shouts he doesn't care whether she's a dragon or Eyralin, she didn't love him from the bottom of her heart, how could she toss away everything they had together so easily. She said he's mistaken, mortal, the Black Dragon, Eyra, and the human, Eyralin, are clearly different beings, she simply experienced the life of a human named Eyralin, of course, she did love him truly as Eyralin, after all, playing around was only fun when she's seriously immersed, however, they dragons are not foolish enough to confuse dreams with reality, what an abrupt ending, it's leaving a bad taste in her mouth, she doesn't like it, not one bit. He wrote a spellbook named The Book of Terold Croword, the Archmage which containing Polymorph Self magic. Karstein de Red had the magic book, but Karsearin stole it, read the book, transformed into a human, and ran away from home. [4]

He's Gaster Latnile's long-time instructor. He used to be called an archmage before Gaster showed up because Gaster have mastered Nineth Circle spells that even he couldn't cast. [1]

Gaster said as if to reassure him that, hmm, now that Vera mentioned it, their names does sound similar, but rest assured, there's no way that's possible, she can guess the age of a dragon by its size, remember what they saw, Arin was massive, anyone can tell he's not a baby dragon, the baby dragon that ran away from home, was a Hatchling, he's sure Arin and Karsearin are two different dragons. Then he tilted his head. He said he has got it wrong Gaster, that Hatchling may only be 300 years old, but he seems to be a mutant, he's three times bigger than other dragons his own age, even Lord Karstein called him Arin as a pet name. He said this is different from when the Dragon Slayers killed Grateus, an adult dragon, how he could harm a Hatchling, especially the Hatchling of a Red Dragon, the only silver lining is that he didn't kill the Hatchling, the moment Karstein finded out that the Hatchling was harmed, he may not end humanity, but they should brace theirselves for him wiping Karsel off the map. Gaster clenched his fist and said dammit, that does leave them with only one choice, kill them or be killed. Gaster shouted first, they must deal with the empire invasion, and then resume their investigation of the Almighty Creature's seal as soon as possible. Someone said one human loved her so much that he turned into a lich. [5]

Gaster was angry and shouted ...his mentor is so goddamn useless. At that moment, he appeared behind the grumbling Gaster and asked that he's talking about him, Gaster. An army came rushing from the other side of the palace. The army shouted to him that he should reveal himself, intruder, and he doesn't even think about running away. He said backup... but how, he knew he blocked out all noise... The army said to him that huh, what he's, a fool, so what if they can't hear him, his spells have been continuously lighting up the sky. He said oh. Gaster Latnile shouted oh, that was all he has to say. Gaster shouted good grief, something was actually wrong with him, how he could make such a silly mistake. He said bah, he's been away from the human world for too long... Gaster shouted that's no excuse, Terold have stopped using his brain ever since he turned into a lich. Terold angry and said where's Gaster's manners, he's his Master, let him knock some sense into him. Gaster snored hmph and said a Master, he's stronger than him now, he's a Master of Nineth Circle spells. He pointing to Gaster's arm and said but he's missing an arm now. Gaster complexion turned pale and said oh. He used Gaster to Dark Flame and shouted he should take this, Dark Flame. Gaster shouted th-that's not fair, Master. Darios just watched this scene. Pluto said they shure get along, huh, this was supposed to be a battle between the greatest mages of all time. [7]

Lashte and Aslan are dead, and someone shouted oh, he'd better give them gredit, they had two seals. Gaster said they're the ones who intercepted his mentor, all right, thanked for the gift. [8]

  • In internet novel, and web novel, it reveals that he's Eyra's son when she gave birth to while enjoying polymorph under the name Eyralin, and is also the husband she married again after he grew up. But in webtoon, it's purified that he's in love with Eyralin, who was 'like' his mother.
