Lael is a city in the Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon.
The city was located in the Karsel Kingdom, Six Nations Alliance of Heid.
Information[]
Lael was a port city. A major city with a population of 100,000 people, located at the edge of the Lartead Mountains. One of the top commercial cities in the Six Nations Alliance of Heid. [1]
The main business of this city was, of course, trade between the Gaianes Empire and the Six Nations Alliance of Heid, but it also held a very important diplomatic position within the Allied Powers. This is because the only way to get from the Batran Kingdom, one of the Six Nations Alliance, to the Karsel Kingdom, where the trading city of here was located, was through the Hanan River, which flew between the two countries. Of course, it's not that there were no land routes, but no one would think of using land routes. This was because the Al kreed Mountains, which formed the border between the Batran Kingdom and the Karsel Kingdom, were the habitat of the terrifying Red Dragon Karsearin, synonymous with fear. [2]
History[]
Season 1[]
In 304 AC, Karsel Kingdom of the Six Nations Alliance of Heid, Rake said he took Arin to the trading city of here, and there's someone he knew who will help him find his memory, even if he found it, he will be able to eat and live, because he's busy on the way to go. [2]
This was a port city, a major city with a population of 100,000 people, located at the edge of the Lartead Mountains. One of the top commercial cities in the Six Nations Alliance of Heid. Arin looked around and shouted wow, whoa, and amazing, so this was the human world. Arin kept looking around and shouted ooh, wow. Rake said to someone that the kid's bursting with energy. Someone asked to Rake that what he's going to do with that kid, sure, they saved him form the Orcs, but he's not in the best shape, after his head injury, he doesn't remember anything except for his name, Arin. Rake said well for now, he'll look for some way they can put him to use. Arin rushes and shouted whoa, amazing. He said there were so many humans and houses, and there are a bunch of mysterious items everywhere too, just as Karstein said humans really like living in groups. Rake said Arin should stop looking around, let's go. Arin asked where to. Rake answers he was said he had nowhere to go, there's someone who can help him. Arin asked oh, really. Rake answers yeah. Arin thought hehe, just as he thought, faking amnesia sure was handy, all he had to does were said, "He doesn't know, ugh, his head..." and no one suspected him. At the night, Carsan and Arin went somewhere. Arin asked where they were going right now. Carsan answered that to the auction house. Arin said what's auction house. Carsan said he bought him form Rake, but his family's not wealthy enough to keep a slave around, he looked healthy and has a pretty face, he should be able to sell him for at least 1,000 gold. Arin thought what's he talking about, what 1,000 gold, well, he called him pretty, that's a compliment, right. After walking along for a while, he saw a large building. It was a five-story building as big as Arin's main body. Arin said wow, what a huge building. Carsan said let's go. The building was the Ladael Sh'Lael Slave Auction House. [1]
The carriage carrying Arin left the auction house and started running. Darios fon Goldbruf rode on his horse in front of the carriage. Arin took a quick look. [3]
One week later, when Arin escorted by about 50 cavalrymen, they arrived at the port city here, they headed for Batran, via the large Hanan River. [4]
Season 3[]
The city of here was currently demonstrating what the word chaos meant. The streets were filled with screams, thieves were running rampant, and all sorts of crimes were occurring without a care. It was not just a sudden uproar. It was after a great disaster that could only be described as divine punishment had already struck. People were losing their humanity. The word order did not exist. Only a crowd of people who had lost their minds and were running away to survive filled the city. However, even in this chaotic situation, even in this hell where darkness fell over their heads and thick volcanic ash poured down like a torrential downpour, there were those who persistently pursued greed. Cecil, who had turned 16 this year and was a popular item at the Ladael Sh'Lael Auction House, was urging his feet to move through the thick black snow. Cecil moaned gasp, gasp gasp... At first, Cecil welcomed this disaster. To Cecil, who was destined to become a slave to the dirty nobles anyway, this disaster felt like a ray of salvation rather than divine punishment. At least, for the first disaster. However, Cecil had long since erased luck from his mind. Cecil asked damn it, Shine, he's okay. Cecil cursed and looked back at the boy he was supporting. The sickly boy was forcing his frail limbs to move and struggling to take his feet. Cecil shouted Shine have to move, if he stay like this, he'll die. Boy, Shine nodded weakly. Shine said it's... okay... Shine's voice, weak but not yet losing his will. Cecil turned his head away. So that Shine wouldn't see Cecil's flowing tears. Cecil thought damn it. Cecil had finally escaped the fate of slavery, but what awaited him was death. Faced with this astonishing reality, Cecil continued to walk while crying. The only thought that filled Cecil's mind was his mission to escape the hell that had unfolded on this earth. It was then that Shine suddenly stopped Cecil in his tracks. Someone asked Cecil. Cecil turned his head. Shine was already sickly. Shine wasn't originally sickly, but rather, he had been made sickly in the auction house to suit the tastes of some nobles. Cecil opened his mouth, determined to carry Shine if he collapsed. Cecil asked what's wrong, Shine can't walk. However, Shine's words were somewhat different from what Cecil had expected. Shine looked into the darkness and muttered quietly. Shine said the warehouse door is open. Cecil turned his gaze and looked where Shine was pointing. And then, in a moment, they were caught up in a conflict. It was a treasure trove where all the jewels and gold coins earned by the auction house were stored. Until just a moment ago, Cecil had only prioritized survival, but in that moment, the two letters "greed" began to appear in his head. Shine asked what they should do. Shine asked quietly, and Cecil just stared at the warehouse in silence. After a moment, Cecil shook his head. Cecil answered there's no time for that. Shine laughed. Shine said he knew Cecil had answer like that. They turned away without any regrets. That was when a long, loud noise echoed behind their heads. WHEEEEEEEEING! KWAAH! The two turned their heads in surprise. The hot volcanic bomb had hit the warehouse and caused a huge explosion. The two looked at each other. For some reason, no words came out. Cecil thought if they had gone in... Shine thought he would have just died... At that moment, it felt like someone had screamed from the warehouse, but Cecil quickly shook the thought away. Cecil said let's keep going, if they go towards the port, there will be a ship. [5]
The streets were quiet before they knew it. The screams of those who had stayed in the city and had not yet escaped had also stopped. It seemed that they were all dead. However, there were still refugees struggling and running in the alleys near the port. Someone shouted Shine, there is not much sea left, he should cheer up. Shine said he knew, gasp, gasp... he can walk... The two boys encouraged each other and ran while hiding their bodies in the thick smoke. At that moment, an eerie sound split the air and flaming rocks erupted around them. Kwaaaaah! People shouted aaaaah. An explosion, followed by screams. In an instant, the surroundings became a pandemonium. Cecil saw the refugees crushed by rocks, those covered in hot lye flowing everywhere, and those who could not die right away but were suffering in pain. People morned ugh, ugh, ugh... It was a hell. And Shine was in that hell. Shine shouted aaaah. Shine screamed as he was buried up to his ankles in hot lye. At the same time, a strange sound was heard. It was a rumbling, strange sound like the soft howling of a wounded animal. Cecil thought what it is. Cecil quickly looked around as he raised Shine, and his eyes widened for a moment. The source of the sound was approaching from beyond the hill. Hot water streams were gushing out from various places on the surface, making a loud noise and flowing down. The piled up ash had instantly turned into mud. The stinging smell of sulfur made it hard to even breathe properly. Cecil began to walk with difficulty, carrying Shine on his back. Cecil thought fuck, fuck, fuck... Cecil wanted to curse, but he couldn't. The hot, suffocating air that made it hard to breathe surrounded Cecil and covered all around him. Even if Cecil took a little heavy breath, his throat felt like it was burning. Cecil clenched his teeth as he felt the weight of Shine on his shoulders starting to get harder and harder. Shine must have sensed that and raised his head. Shine said he's sorry, Cecil... Shine's thin voice whispered in Cecil's ear. It sounded like the voice of the dead. Cecil shouted if Shine is sorry, he should live, he's telling him to live and pay him back. Snow fell relentlessly. Gray snowflakes that dyed everything black. Shine quietly closed his eyes. And Shine lowered his head weakly. It was becoming increasingly difficult to breathe. All that existed around Shine was the deathly air filled with sulfur and volcanic ash. Shine's body was too weak to survive in this atmosphere. Shine thought it would be more comfortable to just fall asleep. Shine slowly lowered his head at this sweet temptation coming from somewhere. That temptation was so attractive to Shine right now. In his consciousness that was gradually fading away, Shine could hear the last voice of his life. Cecil's voice full of hope. Cecil shouted it's the sea. Shine raised his head with the last of his strength. The dark blue sea swaying beyond Shine's dim vision came into view. Shine thought well... okay... Now at least Cecil can survive... Shine lowered his head completely, smiling faintly at the faint shout of his friend. The soft hair flowed limply from Cecil's shoulders and swayed in the air. At the strange feeling, Cecil, who had been immersed in joy at discovering the sea, turned his head in surprise. Cecil asked Shine. Cecil stared blankly at his friend who had fallen limply in his arms. Brown long hair swaying limply, eyes calmly closed, lips that were no longer breathing. Cecil supported Shine with trembling hands. Cecil raised his hand and wiped the dirty ash from his face. Cecil asked S-Shine. A pure white face was revealed. The pale, beautiful boy's face was no longer alive. Cecil sat down without realizing it. The volcanic ash that had been spread up to Cecil's ankles blew away. Cecil said Shine idiot... Cecil muttered in vain. Cecil said they're almost there... Cecil quietly hugged Shine's frail body. Then Cecil looked up into the air in a daze. Cecil's breath was suffocating. Cecil coughed repeatedly. Cecil's throat felt like it's burning. The hot heat is getting worse and heating up the surroundings. Rumble... For a moment, Cecil's feet start to shake. The ground started to twist again. Cecil turned his head blankly. Now, even Cecil's will to survive has long since been broken, and he just instinctively turns his head toward the sound. That's why Cecil wasn't that surprised by the sight that came into his eyes. Cecil thought oh, he saw. What Cecil saw as he sat down was the sight of the city of here sinking all at once, as if some giant underground being was gnawing away at the surface. The world is collapsing. The endless abyss swallows the city whole and drags it into darkness. The loud noise, as if the world was turning upside down, rang out so loudly that it hurt Cecil's ears, and dust rose up thickly. The city of here, no, all the land in Cecil's sight was sinking. Cecil looked up at the sky with a sad smile. Now Cecil wasn't even afraid. Cecil's friend was already growing cold in his arms, and the surroundings had turned to jades. What could get worse? Cecil closed his eyes and opened them. And then Cecil let out a scream. The last scream of Cecil's life. Cecil shouted yes, do whatever they want, this damned world. [6]
