Dragon is a monster of the Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon, The Creature and In Dreams.

Information[]

Dragons are typically depicted as huge lizards, such that you can't even see the entire body at a glance; their whole body is usually covered with shiny horny scales, with two wings made of a huge film that support its body. They also have sharp claws. [1]

Unlike humans, they are a race that reached the closest to perfection among mortals, and they are the only living beings comparable to deities. [1]

Despite enjoying freedom and not interfering with each other, they're bound to a few certain rules. First. Protect the young regardless of their clan no matter what. Second. Respect each other's territories and do not meddle. [2]

Some powerful dragon is known as a Super Dragon. The mutant dragon is in fact this. [3]

Biology[]

They are so lazy, so their are many cases where they sleep for 20 to 30 years every time they sleep. Humans sometimes misunderstand that because it's a dormant period, but it's just that oversleeping is a bit excessive. [4]

Aging[]

In internet novel Part 1, it is revealed that the lifespan of dragons is about 7000~8000 years, and adulthood begins between 500~600 years of age, youth reaches 3000 years old, and old age begins after passing 5000 years of age. However, in web novel Chapter 1, the story is different in that dragons have a lifespan of about 10,000 years, reaching adulthood at about 700 years old, reaching 5,000 years of youth, and reaching 5,000 years of age.

They go through three stages of growth during their enormously long life cycle.

Baby or minor dragons are called Hatchlings (해츨링, RR: Haecheulling, MR: Haech'ŭlling) and don't become adults until they are 700 years old. [1] The only existing Hatchlings are Karsearin and Eorin. [5]

Dragons of a certain age called Wyrms (웜, RR: Wom, MR: Wŏm), are generally between 700 and 5,000 years old, belonging to the youth. Although it isn't clear that it's youth, but it's assumed that they are called this because they are somewhere between Hatchlings and Ancient Dragons.

They aged from 5,000 to 10,000 years old are called Ancient Dragons (에인션트 드래곤, RR: Einsyeonteu Deuraegon, MR: Einsyŏnt'ŭ Tŭraegon). If an Ancient Dragon is the greatest and most powerful of the Ancient Dragons, then it's the only being with a power who can comparable to a god's. [6] There are a total of five existing Ancient Dragons in the story: Karstein de Red Red Dragons, a 6,000-year-old Silver Dragon, Zahadrian among the Gold Dragons, and two dragons of unknown types. Among the Red Dragons, Cerenosus was also an Ancient Dragon, but appears to be dead at this point.

Diet[]

They under 2000 years old appear to eat meat, and Karsearin in particular can eat monsters like orcs, trolls, ogres, griffins, [1] and wyverns. [7]

They are capable of Dragon Detection, senses used to detect the other Dragons. When Karsearin disappeared, We don't know how his mother Karsenian found out about this, but she went to meet Karstein de Red anyway. [7] When a dragon uses polymorph, it can't use its senses and must use Search Magic. When dragons return to their original form, the Dragon King can sense their transformation. Size[]

The main body of the representative ancient dragon Karstein reaches a height of 50m (164.042 ft) from the back to the ground when it plows on the ground with four legs. Abilities[]

Their kind masks spirits with their presence, then it's beyond the Spirit Kings power. [6]

Society[]

They are solitary creatures. They don't interfere with each others' lives. They're respectful at best and selfish at worst. They believe they're each responsible for their own lives. In fact, they have enough power and skill to do just that. [5]

The only existing Hatchlings are Karsearin and Eorin, so, attacking a Hatchling is a suicide mission. [5] If something happens to Karsearin and if the humans are to blame, then Karstein de Red will be enraged at mankind, if he directs his anger at them, then half of humanity will be burned to a crisp, and it's not just the humans, falf of all living beings could be wiped out. [6] This is different from when the people killed an adult dragon like Grateus. How could you harm a Hatchling especially the Hatchling of a Red Dragon, the only White living is that they didn't kill the Hatchling. The moment Karstein finds out that the Hatchling was harmed, he may not end humanity, but they should brace themselves for him wiping Karsel off the map. [12]

Each race has a clan representative, [5] called a king. At this point, the Red Dragon King is Kiadrys, [7] and the Black Dragon King is Erkas. [12] The conditions for becoming a Dragon King aren't strong authority or transcendental power. If you can maintain common sense, focus on the task at hand, and have the social skills to interact with other dragons with a sense of responsibility, you are the Dragon King. It may not be a particularly great condition for humans, but for dragons who live in a world of pride, it's a surprisingly unique ability. [13]

They also have the Dragon Lord (드래곤 로드, Deuraegon Rodeu) who rules over the entire race. [12] At this point, the Dragon Lord is Zahadrian, a Gold Dragon, [14] tired of living, she polymorphs into a cat named Nero and lives in the Imperial Palace of the Gaianes Empire. [12] The Dragon Lord appears to be unrelated to longevity and strength, just like a representative of a race. Although the Ancient Dragon level becomes a Dragon Lord, Zahadrian, the current Dragon Lord, is definitely younger than Karstein de Red, who is 6,500 years old. Types[]

There are 7 types of dragons in all in this world. They are called red, blue, green, white, black, gold and silver dragons depending on their body color and use different breaths. Dragon's Breath, the greatest weapon given to a dragon can only be used 3 times a day, and each dragon has a different type. In the case of a red dragon, the Flame Breath which is intense flame, blue is lightning, the Lightning Breath. Green is strong acid gas, black is dark gas, and gold dragon can breathe all kinds of breath. (However, gold dragons have significantly weaker breath power compared to other dragons.) Silver dragons and white dragons use the breath of cold, but white dragons are known to have the lowest ability among all dragons and have bad brains. (Of course, in the case of a red or silver dragon, which is said to be the strongest among all dragons), if it is an Ancient Dragon more than 5000 years old, you can use Flame Breath, meaning that it 'purifies' rather than burns, or Blizzard Breath that reaches absolute zero. However, it is rare for an old dragon of that level to use the breath. (Of course, there are very few that attack old dragons like that.) [11]

Dragon skin and scales are used to make the best protective gear. [15]

Dragon blood is used as an accelerator for magical reagents. [15]

Dragon Heart is used as an incredible magical weapon for humans. [15]

  • Dragons draws heavily from the dragon of the Dungeons & Dragons series, and even has similar terminologies such as color-based personalities, the properties of each breath, Dragon Breath can only be used 3 times per day, and the White Dragon being the weakest dragon. However, as mentioned before, in this work, some attribute dragons in D&D are lacking.
