Darios fon Goldbruf is a character in the Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon and The Creature.
Information[]
Unlike other Dragon Slayers, Darios was not from the Karsel Kingdom, but grew up in the Libeid Kingdom. He's from Shihad Academy and won the competition as a student. Afterwards, he fell in love with Sernian of the Karsel Kingdom and headed there. He joined the Knights of Karsel at the age of 15 and took the honor of the first knight in three years. After that, he created numerous adventure stories for 5 years while wandering the continent to rescue humans suffering from monsters called Silver Knight. He teamed up with Gaster Latnile, Vera Casnine and Pluto fon Croword to face a white dragon Grateus. By defeating Grateus, he's able to obtain the highest honor of being a 'Dragon Slayer'.
However he admitted that he alone could not defeat the dragon, he needed the help of his companions, if he had fought alone he would not have survived.
Apperance[]
Darios was portrayed as a young man with fair skin, azure blue eyes, and silver hair. [1]
He wore a silver-colored cloaked armor that covers his entire body. [1]
Personality[]
Darios was one of the most powerful knights in the Karsel Kingdom. Darios has proven to be a fairly obedient and loyal knight, but also quite calculating and cunning as he used Arin to make him pass himself off as Princess Ione in order to invade Batran Kingdom.
When he found out that Arin was a red dragon he was too scared, if it hadn't been for his other companions he would have died in the fight against him.
When he met up with Arin a fifth time, instead of killing him right then and there, he gave him a potion to hide the color of his hair so Karsel's soldiers wouldn't kill him, showing a somewhat compassionate side (unless really did it just for fear of facing Karsearin in his dragon form but this time without the help of his companions).
Biography[]
Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon[]
Season 1[]
In the Ladael Sh'Lael Slave Auction House, the guy with the flashy vest surprised. The cape guy shouted that's him, the first knight of Karsel. He walked towards Arin, who was standing blankly. Arin thought huh, what, that did silver human buy him. Words came out from all directions. Someone shouted him, Someone shouted the Silver Knight, Darios. Someone shouted Darios fon Goldbruf. Someone shouted he can't believe he's seeing a Dragon Slayer in person. Someone said but why was the famous Silver Knight here. Someone said could it be him swings that way. Embarrassed, he looked around. Someone said who know. He thought they seem to be gravely mistaken, but it'll only complicate things to try and explain himself here, let's just get this over with and leave. He shouted to the crowd again. He shouted anyone was else offering a bid, if not, they will acknowledge his ownership. Eyes were falling from all directions. He gave money to the host and said here it was, 10,000 Gold. He said to Arin that from now on, he was his master, he should follow him. The carriage carrying Arin left the auction house and started running. He rode on his horse in front of the wagon. Arin took a quick look. The day was setting and the forest was dark. The deep shadows of the trees were cast everywhere, giving off an eerie atmosphere. There was a wide open space in the middle of the thick forest where the trees were intentionally carved out for travelers on the forest path, and wagons stop there to stay. Arin, wore a light pink dress and his waist-length long red hair neatly braided with a yellow ribbon at the end, eating bread in front of a bonfire. Behind Arin, an elegant-looking middle-aged woman speaks to the person next to her and said to him that unbelievable, he looks even more similar with the outfit on, he's not just a look-alike, he's a carbon copy, even she thought he looks like princess Ione, if he wasn't a man, there'd be no difference. Arin thought what now, he did get sold as he planned, but they gave him new clothes and food, he should stay here a little longer, they seem nicer than the other humans he has met so farm he should just wait and see if he sold him out like Rake did. He spoke to Arin, who was busy looking around. He asked to Arin that what's his name. Arin answered that Arin. He kneeled in front of Arin and said he really does look alike. He asked to Arin that he wasn't curious why they dressed him that way. He said he must be flustred, being in this situation after living as a slave, first, he should explain why he bought him, from now on, he will act as a stand-in for Princess Ione of the kingdom of Karsel. [1]
He said to Arin that a stand-in, that's right, they're knights from the kingdom of Karsel, they're on their way to the Batran Kingdom, but princess Ione could not travel with them due to certain circumstances, they were pulling their hair out wondering what they should do, that's when he met him, who looks very much like her. Arin thought a princess, his first job in the human world was being a slave, next up is being a princess, slaves and princesses are worlds apart. Arin asked to him that what does he does as a princess. He answered oh, there's no need for him to feel overwhelmed, just does as they said, all he has to does was accompany them. He said to Arin that get some rest then. As soon as he finished speaking, he got up and walked to where his men were. Arin thought huh, it's pretty simple, it really does seem like they are people who servs the princess, it shouldn't be a problem, if anything happens, he can just transform and wipe everything out. Arin asked, pointing to him that who that was silver man. Reyses surprised. Darios fon Goldbruf. He was a prodigy who joined the order of Karsel at the young age of 18, and attained the glory of becoming the first knight within just two years, for five years after that, he wandered around the entire continent, rescuing countless humans from monsters, and thereby received the title of Silver Knight. In the tent, Reyses said to Arin that it'd take more than five books to list all of his achievements. Arin shouted ooh, so is that man a hero, like from those adventure stories. Reyses answered huh, uh, pretty much. Reyses thought what's with this kid, everyone knows this already. Reyses said then, finally, after taking down Grateus, the evil White Dragon, he received the most honorable title, Dragon Slayer, he was the gretest knight in the Karsel Kingdom. Arin, who was listening to Reyses' story, was surprised to realize what that title of him meant. Arin thought a Dragon Slayer, so that human, killed a dragon, huh, he's sure Karstein said. In reminiscence, Karstein shouted those bastards were cowardly scum who'd stab an innocent dragon in the back, just to attain some title and satisfy their greed. Arin thought even Karstein, who was always benevolent, would get worked up and angry, whenever anyone mentioned a Dragon Slayer. Arin thought he doesn't understand, just how did a human kill a dragon. Arin solidified one thought that he's so curious. Arin standed up and went outside the tent. Reyses asked to Arin that oh, where he was going now. Arin shouted and answered he's curious about the knight's accomplishments. Arin shouted he's going to here it directly from him. He was sitting in front of the bonfire. As Arin approaches him, he startled by his appearance. Arin's ruby-colored hair reflected the light of the bonfire, giving off a strange beauty. A corner of his chest feels numb. Because the image of a woman he knew was reflected in that boy. Although he thought his expression was a bit strange, Arin immediately said to him. Arin said to him that he found him, he's still outside. He asked to Arin that what he was doing up at this hour. Arin smiled and said to him that he should tell him about how he caught a dragon. He briefly told Arin about himself and his comrades. Gaster, the royal mage, Pluto, the vice-captain of the order of Karsel, and finally, Vera, the best exorcist in Heleis. Then, he told Arin about fighting Grateus, the White Dragon. He said to Arin that that's how Grateus died, after that, the people called them Dragon Slayers. This was different from the usual human adventure stories. Arin couldn't help but feel uneasy. After finishing his story, he standing up and said to Arin that looking back, they were just lucky, oh, he has been rambling, he should go sleep now. Although he wanted to hear more about other things, Arin nodded obediently. Arin answered to him that okay. Arin thought hump, he felt uncomfortable after listening to that story, Grateus the White Dragon, huh, if he hadn't looked down on humans, he woudn't have died that way, later, if he ever has to fight against humans, he won't be so careless. [2]
While Arin looked around the city for a while, the carriage came up to the gates of Serkarsel, and the five soldiers who were standing in front of the gates that saw his face and holding spears bend their waists at right angles and sent them into the palace. [3]
Arin, who was listening to the conversation between the two, suddenly felt interested. Arin thought Gaster and Pluto, right, he told him about them in his stories. Arin shouted and asked the guy in the black hood must be Gaster, the mage of Karsel, and the black-haired guy must be Pluto, the vice-captain of the order of Karsel. Mina, who was startled, quickly corrected his words. Pluto asked to Arin that hmm, wait, he know their names. Gaster asked to Arin that he heared he were uninformed about the world, where he did hear about them. Arin answered it's from Darios, he heard him all killed a dragon together. At that moment, a bitter smile appeared on the lips of the two people. Gaster let out a laugh. Gaster said hoho, he saw, if he heard it directly from him, then what he know was close to the truth. Pluto said sigh, he just had to see for himself. [4]
At night, in the Anasteid. Someone said inside the house that he doesn't think they should give it up now, Gaster. In one of the countless pubs scattered throughout the city, the group of five engaged in a heated discussion. Gaster drinking beer and said to hell with giving up, how he can hope for anything without investing some effort first. He said that's true, but... it's taking up too much time, cornering prey while it's unaware is one thing, but chasing after one on the run is too difficult. Gaster said let's be clear here, their prey isn't on the run, he doesn't even know they're after him. [5]
He said but if they're away for so long, it'll affect the rest of their schedule. Gaster shouted then why he doesn't lot leave already. Gaster said he told Darios, that dragon is easy prey, he bet he can even take him alone. He was surprised and standed and shouted but what if Gaster fail, they'll lose their most precious magician. He sighed and said they should get back to the subject at hand... He stood up and said ...they can't waste time on a whild goose chase, especially since... this country is enemies with Karsel. [5]
Season 2[]
Largo looked disappointed and said Pluto don't have what it taked... ...to be called a Dragon Slayer, perhaps him, the greatest knight in the empire, isn't all that impressive either. Pluto thought dammit... to think his killer move... ...is no match for the Storm Bringer, Largo didn't even use magic, this is just like... ...the first time he crossed swords with him... Pluto gritted his teeth in pain and thought goddammit. [6]
At that moment, a silver flash suddenly flew through the air from above the cliff and struck Largo. It was a blow that was so sudden that Largo had no choice but to hit it squarely. Largo morned guh... Pluto was surprised and shouted this must be... A cry close to a scream came from the mouths of the imperial soldiers that l-look up there, he could be... ...Darios fon Goldbruf... ...the Dragon Slayer. Pluto shouted ha... about time he got here. Gaster said what a remarkable entrance, him, despite Pluto's nonchalance, he managed to appear in full view of everyone, even the lighting is perfect... Pluto was surprised and shouted how that's important right now. He climbed down the cliff in one go. He said King Largo of the empire should forgive him, he didn't mean to ambush him like this, however, he had to forego his manners to save his close friends, he should prepare himself for a new duel. Largo said hmph, he seemed a little different, those pests and their dirty tricks have taught him not to trust a word from Karsel... Pluto said huh. Largo drew Storm Bringer and aimed it at him and shouted ...but fine, he forgive his impertinence, he is Largo, the Warrior King and the strongest man in the empire, he sweared by his sword that he will engage him in a fair duel. He also pulled out his favorite sword, Moon Alstad, and shouted loudly that he is Karsel's Silver Knight Darios... ...also called a Dragon Slayer, he shall face Largo's sword to determine the victor. [7]
Largo shouted graaah. Storm Bringer exhaled a long stream of Silver Aura. He easily blocked Largo's silver sword energy. Pluto thought damn him... ...Darios... ...he has advanced further than he imagined. He looked down at Largo, who was sitting on the floor, and opened his mouth in a dignified voice that King Largo, he can no longer wield his sword in that state, if he admit defeat, withdraw his troops and leave. It was then. A low but powerful voice flowed from Largo that he saw, the victory is his, Sir, he admit defeat. The Storm Bringer began to glow again. It wasn't Largo's Silver Aura. The ancient magic characters engraved on the blade glowed. Largo shouted however... ...the empire will not be defeated. The blade was engulfed in green light particles and circled around Largo's wounded body. Largo's pierced arm was engulfed in light and healed in an instant, erasing the trace. He thought ...Largo healed his arm, it's a Healing spell. Largo's eyes once again shine fiercely with fighting spirit, he shouted him live up to his name, but he cannot allow himself to be beaten like this, a King cannot acknowledge his defeat, Storm Bringer, it should unleash its power. A huge storm poured out from the Storm Bringer. Largo shouted aaah. He shouted so this... ...is the power of the Storm Bringer. Pluto said after all the pretense of fighting fairly, Largo depended on the power of his sword. He said the storm is fueled by the dragon's power, it's unstoppable... ...unless they fight back with a Ninth Circle spell... He was surprised. Gaster said good grief... he already pushed his limits today, and it turned out he hasn't even faced the real challenge yet, since he has his mana back, he has no choice... ...but to use a Ninth Circle spell. A fierce resolve that people had never seen before appeared on Gaster's face. Gaster said he shall hereby contain... ...the dragon's power... Gaster said Absolute Magic Seal. Largo was embarrassed and shouted ...what in the world, his mana... the mana flowing into the sword... ...has been blocked. At the same time, the swirling Dragon Power Wind began to lose its shape. The soldiers of Karsel who were being chased said Largo's magic... ...disappeared... Meanwhile, Largo paniced while held the now useless Storm Bringer and shouted dammit, what is the meaning of this, come on, come forth, storm. Largo shouted how can Gaster's magic ...surpass the dragon's power. He said it's time to end their duel. Largo shouted graaaaah. He cut off Largo's head in one fell swoop. [8]
Pluto said it's over, with their commander-in-chief dead, 100,000 soldiers were nothing to write home about, they should've just had he come alone from the beginning. He said the situation was certainly dire... but he also couldn't ignore Libeid either, there was a risk of a counterattack if they discovered that he was gone, he had better hurry back. Pluto smiled and said why he doesn't take a break before heading back, he's sure he's also exhausted, and that's some good entertainment right here, dang, their army knew how to fight, they don't even have to step in. He asked how Pluto can joke about such a gruesome scene. Pluto answered why not, he was happy that they're winning. His brow furrowed deeply and said they can't celebrate people dying, Pluto, they may be their enemies, but show some decency, it's the least they can do. The smile on Pluto's lips grew even deeper and smiled and said he was saying they should grieve after killing them, then he should've been a farmer instead of a knight, he could kill their enemies a thousand times over if it meant their army's survival, him. Vera appeared between the rocks, dragged Scarla with her and asked oh, hey, him, when he did get here. Pluto asked Vera, she's okay, what... she's dragging. Vera said oh, it's Scarla, the highest-ranked exorcist of the dawn, she put up a tough fight, she managed to win when it became an endurance contest, she brought her over in case they could use her as a hostage, but looked like the fight was already over. Pluto sighed and said yeah, victory was theirs, then shall they return. He said yes... ...it's time to return to being vicious invaders. [9]
Pluto worried and asked to Vera that if it was hard after fighting for a while. Vera answered with a hard smile that this was okay and that she had gained quite a bit of her divine power. Scarla, who was lying down, raised her head and shouted that Vera is a vicious bitch, and that was how she got that incredible divine power. Everyone turned their heads towards Scarla sudden shout. Scarla's eyes filled with hatred leaked through her tangled blonde hair. Scarla's venomous gaze is truly terrifying. Vera didn't care at all. Vera said oh, because Scarla is a recycler. A scream came out of Scarla's mouth that it would be better to kill her. The mechanism of a divine spell is to generate one's divine power by exercising one's own sacred power based on strong faith. Piety increases the level of divine spells, and divine power increases the power of divine spells. No matter how sincere your heart is, you cannot use holy spells if you do not have mana, or divine power, which is the driving force to generate the spell. Scarla who lost her divine power was the same as losing everything. He said hmm... and he was appalled and looked at Scarla and Vera alternately. Will Vera be able to feel at ease even after looking at Scarla like that? Vera said that's right, let's kill Scarla even though she's no longer useful. Vera seemed to be comfortable. It was a time when he was dumbfounded as he watched Vera muttering calmly. Gaster, who was looking at Vera with a look in his eyes that said, now that she has cured Pluto, it will be his turn, opened his mouth that wait, Vera. Vera answered why. Gaster said if Vera is going to recycle Scarla, let's be sure. Vera said pardon. Gaster said a body with strong vitality is useful in many ways, so a high-ranking exorcist like Scarla would have amazing vitality. Vera asked Gaster is going to experiment on humans again. Gaster asked there's a problem. Vera answered well, whatever, do whatever Gaster want. He, who could not hear the conversation between the two, frowned and stepped in front of them. He said too many people do it, really. As much as possible, He does not interfere with what his colleagues are doing, but this time he cannot tolerate it. He was about to get angry. But he missed the timing again. Pluto said he agreed with his opinion. As he was about to step forward, Pluto grabbed his shoulder and dragged him. Pluto said he's not a good guy, but there's no need to be such a bad guy. Pluto took the form of an edge of the hand with his right arm and drew out blue Sword Aura. A blue light passed by Scarla's neck. Scarla screamed ugh... A low voice rang softly amidst the red blood. Pluto said those who should be killed must be killed. [10]
On one side of a gentle hill, among countless weeds, he lay alone and looked up at the sky. Someone asked he did said he had to go back soon. He said Pluto. Pluto approached Darios. He said his body is still recovering from the fatigue. Pluto sat down next to him and opened his mouth that no kidding, the Warrior King was a formidable enemy. Pluto asked why he doesn't go see Ione since he's here anyway. He asked what right he does have. Pluto's counterattack to his response came right out that he stubborn prick, what right, he wasn't the most powerful Sword Master on earth, if he was him, he'd at least try and make a move on Ione, he has got a real problem if he's getting this worked up about it since he usually doesn't give a crap. He asked but Pluto knew who Princess Ione liked, he doesn't. Pluto responded shamelessly that obviously, Ione liked him, because she has good taste. He said he's shameless. Pluto snickered and responded calmly that but Ione is like a little sister to him, plus, his heart is already set on Vera. He said with a sigh that it's just like Pluto... ...to be so simple but sure. [11]
He said even so, he doesn't have the right to love her, because what he saw in her isn't actually Ione herself... Pluto asked with raised eyes that what he was rambling about, why everyone is around him speaking in riddles. Gaster walked through the bushes toward he and Pluto and said there they all were. Darios asked Gaster, what he brought here, something did happen. Gaster said he has come to deliver news from the scouts, it seemed there were still around 80,000 Imperial soldiers who retreated, they can't let their guard down just yet with so many enemy troops standing bym for now, let's continue to monitor their movements. He asked they'll launch another assult after losing their king, with their leader gone, they wouldn't return to the western empire. Gaster answered normally, yes, unfortunately, they must go back through the Lartead Mountains, which they can't enter and leave as they wished. Pluto muttered crap, what a pain in the neck, the Imperial army is holding them back, they also need to find the seals before Karstein found out that they messed with the hatchling. He asked dubiously that speaking of, Arin is really a hatchling. Pluto answered yeah, they're dead meat now, they say messing with a hatchling can cause an entire kingdom to fall. Gaster said actually, he came up with a countermeasure, however... Gaster was angry and shouted ...his mentor is so goddamn useless. At that moment, Terold Croword appeared behind the grumbling Gaster and asked that he's talking about him, Gaster. Gaster shouted goodness, when Terold did get here, useless mentor of his. Terold was angry and said why, Gaster little... Pluto asked ancestor, Sir, what brought him here, and why Gaster is so angry. Terold said bah, this is all because of that damn Liegis. [11]
Season 3[]
In the barracks, he shouted they have yet to catch their leader, if they let them go, it will come back to bite them. Pluto said that's rich coming from him, he wasn't supposed to be the honorable Silver Knight who cared about enemy casualties. He shouted it's to prevent a future bloodbath. Pluto said that's what he's saying, he doesn't understand his thought process. Gaster shrugged and said they should forget about the enemies, suppressing them now won't guarantee they won't rebel in the future, he's sure they've realized by now that they can't win against them by force, at the very try to start another war, instead, they may seek alternative means, such as... ...assassinating important individuals. He asked important individuals... Gaster does mean them four. Gaster said indeed, with all due respect to Latisse, they saw them as a bigger inconvenience than the king, in other words, as long as they each take precautions, they should be fine, when they fail to assassinate them, they might target the occupying Karsel forces... or perhaps engage in a bit of plundering, in any case, if the leaders stay alive, it's the people of the nation who will suffer the most, once the people have had enough, they'll abandon their partriotism and seek their rule, people prefer a peaceful life over politics and ideology, after all, choosing not to push ahead with the battle... will ultimately put them in a better situation. Vera asked Gaster... ...that's not his idea, it's, it's out of character. Gaster answered Vera got him... it was Princess Ione's idea, she asked to let the leaders go without making it too obvious... He said then their next mission is... Gaster said yes. Gaster laughed and shouted it's time for him to enjoy a date with a beautiful lady. Gaster goes to the outside and shouted he hired a gorgeous assistant recently, now that the urgent business is taken care of, he can leave, right, him all should rest up too, hahaha. Pluto said lucky Gaster. Someone shouted Gaster. [12]
Libeid district Boras Mountain Fortress. He knocked at the door and said Gaster, he's inside, he needed his help with approving the documents, there were too many technical terms. He opened the door and asked Gaster. He froze as he looked at the scene in the room before his eyes. Gaster moved his body full of passion, his clothes fluttering, his legs moving nonstop, he jumped up and down repeatedly, kicking the floor, making a cheerful sound fill the room, and beads of sweat ran down his skin in his passionate movements, and were scattered into the air again due to the constant shaking. Gaster said hoo, ha, aha. Gaster asked eh, him, when he did get here, something did happen. He asked what... in the world Gaster was doing right now, tap dance. Gaster answered hahaha, what, this, good question, he's trying to forge a new path in the realm of magic, usually, magic is activated by chanting spells and performing specific hand gestures to direct mana into a conceptual space, the problem is, he has lost an arm, he can no longer use high-level Eighth Circle spells, after much contemplation, he has found a solution. Gaster raised his right foot and shouted triumphantly that if he's missing a hand, then why he doesn't use his feet to activate the spell. He looked at him with suspicious eyes. He asked so... Gaster was practicing magic just now. Gaster answered nah, he was dancing, he got carried away while practicing. Gaster shouted vigorously that now, he'll be bestowed with another title in addition to his archmage status, he shall be called Gaster Latnile, the Dancing Wizard. At that excited look, he barely managed to get one more word out that yes, good luck. Someone shouted what, He doesn't meant, "Good idea". He asked where's Pluto. Someone asked how he would know, he's probably killing time with Vera somewhere. [13]
His body froze for a moment. He jumped up and shouted Gaster, he did feel that as well, just now... Gaster said yes, what is this tremendous force that defies the cosmic order... ...also, that's where... Gaster rushed and shouted ...goddammit. Gaster ran with a deathly pale face and said he should call Pluto and Vera, they're heading to Karsel. [14]
Gaster spread out his hands and said it's not working, the Warp Gate won't open, he can't set his coordinates. He said that does mean... Gaster said yes, as they feared... ...a calamity has befallen Serkarsel. Gaster shouted for now, he'll teleport them to the Al Kreed Mountains, from there, they'll head to Karsel. Pluto said crap. A large circle was created, connecting space and space, and someone said not even the almighty Gaster can afford to show off in this situation, huh. [15]
A light flashed through the dim forest deep in the mountains where people were sparsely present. He asked this is... the Al Kreed Mountains. Gaster answered yes. Gaster said it used to be a village practicing slash-and-burn agriculture, however, the entire place was set on fire to cut off trade with Batran, and he teleported based on what he remembered. Vera asked ...a village... Gaster said. Someone said there were no traces of a village here. He had a pensive expression and thought if Gaster can teleport to a village that no longer existed... ...what's preventing him from locating the coordinates for Serkarsel. Gaster spoke in a firm tone that let's keep going, once they get over this hill, they'll be able to see Karsel. They walked slowly. He thought Karsel... is probably not unscathed. He thought it'll be as devastated as Libeid, his majesty and her highness will be all right... After a while, Gaster's expression hardened. He asked Gaster, what's wrong, why he did suddenly... ...stop... He opened his eyes wide. Pluto asked huh... they did take the wrong path, why there's... ...an ocean here. Gaster cried out in horror and trembling that dragons... ...their power is beyond imagination... Suddenly a rustling sound was heard in the grass and someone appeared. [16]
There are simply not enough words in the world to truly define the complex expression on his face and he said impossible... Suddenly a rustling sound was heard in the grass and someone was approaching. Pluto shouted wh-who goes there. Someone shouted his majesty, princess Ione. Latisse and Ione appeared between the bushes. Ione looked so disheveled that it belied her status as a princess of a country, with her dress torn here and there, her red hair disheveled, and her expression looking completely exhausted, sobbed and said Pluto... ...ugh... Suddenly Ione collapsed and burst into tears and shouted waaaah. Pluto looked at her with a blank expression and said Ione... Gaster, who had been staring at him from afar, shouted urgently Latisse. Gaster grabbed him by the collar, shook him and shouted what happened, answer him, Latisse. Latisse had a dead expression, devoid of any trace of life and muttered it was her... Gaster shouted her... what Latisse do mean, he should explain so he can understand. Suddenly Latisse burst into laughter that ha. Latisse let out a strange noise, a mixture of vanity and madness, almost like crying that hahaha... ...ahahaha. Gaster gritted his teeth and looked blank and asked goodness... what Latisse have endured. He asked Ione, who was still shedding tears that she could explain instead, her highness. He turned his back to the expanse of dark blue water and asked what happened here. Sitting on the rock, in a numb voice, Ione explained after that, father and she fell around here, they were wandering through the forest when they saw them. His expression was so distorted that it couldn't have been any more mischievous. He asked Queen Sernian... ...is Karsenian, the Demonic Dragon of Sarbazan. Gaster was astonished and asked ha, so that's what it was, that's why Latisse is so out of it, huh. Gaster shouted snap out of it, Latisse dazed fool. Pluto said Gaster, that's quite harsh considering what his majesty went through. Gaster shouted he should wake up, Latisse, this is how the King of a nation should act. Only then did he respond quietly, in a cold, cynical, self-deprecating, vain voice. Latisse said Karsel is gone, how he could still be king. Gaster grabbed Latisse by the collar again and shouted he represent Karsel, it's where he was and wherever he go, it survived solely through him, why he's acting like he has lost it all just because some land sunk into the ocean, why he's playing the saint all of a sudden, he used to be a ruthless and cunning ruler, more heartless than anyone else. Latisse muttered with tears in his eyes that he lost her... ...she was everything to him. Latisse collapsed and said now, he has lost everything... Gaster's expression twisted into a sinister grimace and said he should listen up, Latisse. Gaster's voice turned into a scream that Batran and Libeid now belong to the Karsel Kingdom, Latisse still have vast land and thousands of troops under his command, he even has the most powerful swordsman and mage of the mage on the continent by his side, he has not lost everything yet. Gaster shouted he should come to his senses, Latisse, if he was the king of archmage Gaster, a master of the Nineth Circle, then he should prove that he was worthy of ruling over him. Gaster spoke firmly that he should answer him, Latisse, he does wish to lose him. Latisse said he can't let that happen... ...he doesn't be so harsh on him, Gaster, he knew what must be done... A smile appeared on Latisse's lips and his eyes were bright and said ...he wasn't putting too much pressure on someone... who has experienced the power of a dragon right before their eyes, still, he has helped him come to his senses a little. A smile of relief appeared on Gaster's lips and asked Latisse has finally regained control of himself. They set up a campsite by lighting a bonfire in an empty lot. Breaking the deep silence, Latisse suddenly called out to Gaster that he hasn't fully returned as his king yet, nevertheless, he must give this one order. A shadow fell over Latisse's face and he ordered Gaster should hurry and finish collecting the seals of the Almighty Creature, revive the creature so they can wipe the dragons out, eradicate them once and for all so that nothing like this ever happened again. Suddenly a deep furrow formed between Latisse's eyebrows and said the creature should end the dragons all... ...so that humans... were no longer subject to their taunting. It was a vacant lot near a hill overlooking the Karsel Kingdom, which had become the sea, when the moon was rising high in the sky. On top of the hill, under the pure white moonlight, he stood there, silently looking down at the rough waves. He said to Gaster that every time he gaze upon that deep blue sea, his ears ache, it's as if the souls of the departed were echoing endlessly, resonating through the world, even in such a situation, he's bound by the ghost of a nonexistent past. Gaster said until he can undo this old knot, he'll be haunted by that sound, tormented endlessly, it's the price of their sins, after all. He turned his head and asked what he'll do now, Gaster. Gaster answered first, let's head over to the Batran Kingdom, everything has been arranged for them to cross over to the empire. He was surprised and asked cross over... to the empire. Gaster answered correct, he made the necessary preparations in case something like this were to happen... ...though this wasn't the fate he had envisioned for them. He said very well, they can receive the rest of the seals from the empire. Gaster said it won't be easy, the empire is formidable. He said it doesn't matter. His gentle gaze suddenly turned cold. He said now, they have a chance... ...while the souls of the departed echo endlessly in his ears. [17]
Someone said ah... Rohinas sipped tea at a small table on an outdoor terrace with a view of the garden and asked ...what brought them all the way here, to ask for Gaias and Zaedrasil. He answered without hesitation that correct... ...ruler of the empire. Someone asked he wasn't aware that those jewels represent imperial authority. Another answered they're aware. For the audience, the Dragon Slayers were disarmed and surrounded by dozens of guards, and Vera was wearing shackles around her wrists. Rohinas' voice quietened and said then he must know his response. He was unperturbed and said yes, but he must take the jewels from his majesty, if he also witnessed his homeland transformed into the icy sea, he would empathize with the Dragon Slayers. Rohinas said hmm, he did hear the news... ...but he didn't bring it upon himselves, he would never consider doing something so foolish. He acted in a way that was almost nonchalant, almost rude, as if he was completely unaware that sharp blades were threatening him from all sides and said his majesty won't do this for them, please he should hand over Gaias and Zaedrasil to them, they cannot allow the dragons to continue existing any longer. Rohinas rested his chin on one hand and asked they already know a lot about dragons, he was the ones who ignored it, he does intend to unleash a new, unknown terror on this land for the purpose of revenge. Rohinas grimaced and asked furthermore, what he was demanding represented imperial authority, how he could be so shameless. Someone said now, he should leave, given his honorable reputations, he'll not confine him. His expression hardened even more. He said he leave the Dragon Slayers with no choice... ...his majesty. Suddenly, the purple shackles on Vera's wrists shattered into pieces. The guards were surprised to saw Vera and shouted the shackles sealing her magic... He said as the Dragon Slayers expected, they failed to reach a negotiation. He said unfortunately... ...the Dragon Slayers will have to take the guards by force. [18]
As if those words were a signal, a light appeared behind Rohinas. Sez and Psyche appeared behind his back. Someone said here they're, the greatest mages in the empire, the Four Sorcerers. Raedi also appeared. Vera was surprised and shouted the Four Sorcerers, but there were only three of them. Rohinas said let him also introduce the Dragon Slayers to... ...the greatest Sword Master in the empire, he was the mentor of Largo, whom they killed, Lord Arkin. The white-haired old swordsman pulled out the long sword at his waist. Arkin lowered his sword slightly and spoke to Pluto in a calm voice that Dark Aura, young man, he has strayed down the wrong path, it'll be the death of him one day. Pluto chuckled and said shut up, he's following his own path, he can't always be chasing after him. Arkin muttered as if he found it amusing, looking at his opponents that then... it's four against four. Raedi said perfect, they each get one. A smile appeared on Gaster's lips for a moment and he said well, then, who will take on who. At that moment, a dry voice came out of his mouth, who had been standing still, and caught the Dragon Slayers that wrong. He said it's four against one. Gaster was puzzled and asked huh. Pluto was also embarrassed and shouted hey, at least take his sword with him. A deep furrow formed between Pluto's eyebrows and he shouted he naive fool... ...he doesn't tell him he's still insisting on taking it out. His muttering cut through the air that that's not it, it's just that... ...the Dragon Slayers have no time to waste. A single silver line came out of his hand. Arkin looked at him and stroked his longsword. He made the distance between himself and his opponent nothing and swung down a light of destruction, and the light and the sword clashed. Arkin said his fame has spread far and wide, the most powerful swordsman among the humans, the Dragon Slayer, the master of swordmanship... quite an impressive list of titles, no. Arkin opened his eyes wide and said but this old man has been a Sword Master for much longer than him. A thick silver wave of air spread out in all directions, creating ripples in the atmosphere. Arkin was astonished and thought n-no, it's so quick he can't follow it with his eyes. A silver blast struck Arkin on one shoulder and he shouted agh. Silver struck Arkin's other shoulder and he thought unbelievable... ...how he did create Sword Aura out of thin air. Arkin thought how... The moment the attack was blocked, he ran towards Arkin with a silver flash in his hand. Arkin thought ...he did achieve that at his age. A silver flash flashed from Arkin's left to right. Pluto and Vera were surprised. Things happened so quickly that even the Four Sorcerers had no time to react something. Just as he slid, Arkin's attacked body fell to the ground. Someone shouted no... ...L-lord Arkin. Sez said this is dangerous... Sez shouted ...Psyche. Psyche shouted yeah. Sez began to rip out random pages of scroll book and shouted tear at random. Psyche formed a magic circle in front of her hand and shouted 30 Consecutive Magic Arrows, Flame Strike. Sez shouted not even a Sword Master... ...could withstand this. Someone shouted eat this. A vast curtain of destruction formed between Sez, Psyche and him. He lightly held out his right palm, and a huge silver screen was spread out around that axis, and all the magic Sez and Psyche had worked so hard to cast slid onto that silver screen. Sez was embarrassed and thought good drief, how he can use his Sword Aura like that, it's no longer a Sword Aura now, it's. Sez shouted it's not over yet-- and she opened the scroll book. At this time, a line was drawn on Sez's scroll book. The great blade of death gripped in his hand cut Sez and Psyche apart in one fell swoop. His dry voice echoed in the silence that one more to go... Raedi hiding her body with Invisibility and thought this is outrageous, he's really a human, she can't win against him with magic alone... ...but her specialty isn't magic, it's assassination, not even a dragon can sense her masked presence. Raedi took up the dagger. Raedi moved her body, unseen and unfelt, and split the air in an instant. Raedi thought she only has one shot. He turned his head. Raedi was surprised. At one point, his hand struck Raedi through the air, and her figure was revealed in a faint silver dust that spread through the air. [19]
He grabbed Raedi by the nape of her neck and slammed her into the ground. A voice of disbelief leaked out from Raedi's mouth here and there that kugh... ...h-how. He replied expressionlessly that he can't say, he doesn't know when it started... ...but he can see through... no, sense... the essence of existence. He stood silently near a sticky pool of blood, the thick scent of blood piercing his nostrils, and around him lie the dead bodies of Sez and Psyche, Sez's body old. The sight of blood strewn everywhere and the garden dyed red. He turned to the Rohinas and opened his mouth softly that so... ...he'll reconsider, his majesty. Rohinas' face was distorted and shouted ugh... Rohinas shouted loudly in a voice that seemed to have lost its sense of reason that ...the guards should get him, for the empire. Those who had been trained as palace guards for a long time began to run towards him as if they were mere puppets when the order was given, despite not having the slightest intention of facing the horror before them. He said Rohinas has made a foolish decision. A silvery flash of light shot through the waves of approaching humans. A guard shouted agh. He cut them with his Silver Aura. Another guard shouted graaagh. Someone grabbed him by the collar. Pluto asked what's wrong with him, this is how he usually deal with things, he did change into someone else completely. He looked as if he had not even an ounce of guilt on his face and answered he must change, how he can not change, he's the reason Karsel turned into the ocean. Someone asked he's trying to deceive him. He was surprised. Pluto said that's not the real reason he changed. He laughed at himself and said right... ...Pluto have a point, it's true, he's a hypocrite, after all... A firm voice came out of his mouth and he said ...but that doesn't change anything, he'll achieve his goals, even if it meant curring down every obstacle in his path, he refuse to hesitate anyone. Pluto let go of the hold he had on him by the collar. His firm voice gradually became lower and lower and said he can't allow anyone else to be toyed with by them, he'll do it for her. Pluto looked at him and asked her... ...he was really confusing, he knew. He closed his eyes and smiled weakly and answered ...he agreed. Rohinas doubted his eyes and thought how a human could be so powerful... the imperial guards have trained to the limits of human capability, yet they can't even buy time. Rohinas shouted in anger that the audacity... ...knew their place, they arrogant fools. Someone shouted they should come, Rooster Knights. From above, a group of knights, heavily armed in ornate armor, descended fiercely. Rohinas shouted he thought Lord Arkin and the Four Sorcerers would be enough to take the Dragon Slayers down, since that's not the case, he'll do everything in his power to kill them all. He said it doesn't end there. Almost simultaneously, mages began to fly in from all over the palace. Someone said mages. Another shouted there were ten Master-level mages in the sky... ...and twenty Sword Masters on land, try as the Dragon Slayers might, the four of them don't stand a chance against this power. Gaster looked up at the sky and grumbled that the Dragon Slayers certainly seem to be in a fix now, the empire have more Sword Masters than the Six Nations Alliance of Heid combined. Gaster said if only he had both arms, he could've done something about it... A soft murmur escaped his lips that Gaster, he'll leave the sky to him. Gaster said all right, he sholud leave it to him, it's up to the mages to battle in the air. Gaster's body suddenly soared into the air. And at the same time, his flesh transformed into silver lines once again. Gaster turned to the ground and said all right, he'd better hurry and go help him... Gaster looked at the situation on the ground and was surprised and asked huh... Someone said ...he was already done. He was standing near the corpses of Rooster Knights strewn everywhere. [20]
The corpses of Arkin, the aged Raedi, and Psyche lie on the ground. Pluto said him... Someone stuck out his tongue as he looked at the corpses of Rooster Knights strewn everywhere and asked ...since when... ...he have been this strong. Pluto thought the enemies were powerful, so Vera took on three while he dealt with four, but he since-handedly dispatched the rest... ...all without any weapons. He answered Pluto's question coldly that he no longer hesitate... to swing his sword, that's all. He spoke to Rohinas that he has changed his mind now, his majesty. Rohinas couldn't move. Someone said very well... ...he'll give him the seals... In the Lartead Mountains, the Dragon Slayers set up a defensive barrier and moved cautiously. He said here rested... ...the power to annihilate all dragons... In an instant, his complexion changed and asked guardians don't show unwavering loyalty to the dragons, they can really trust Terold Croword. Gaster answered he know why guardians pledge loyalty to dragons, becoming a guardian does not involve mental manipulation such as Mind Control, guardians cannot defy dragons simply because their lives were on the line, his Master's life was driven by only one purpose, he'd sacrifice his life just to erase the existence of those who toyed with him, he understand his fury more than anyone else... ...which is why he can trust him. A lizard rushed at the Dragon Slayer. He took a sword and cut down a lizard. [21]
He stepped forward and said he'll give it a try. Gaster turned his head to him. As he stared into the lava lake with a hardened face, brilliant particles of light slowly gathered in his palm, forming a dazzling silver flash, which then transformed into a single, gigantic sword of light. The light struck the lake, and with a tremendous explosion, the Silver Aura was embedded in the surface of the lava lake. As the lava that came into direct contact with the Silver Aura rapidly cooled, the lake split open and a high wall of flame appeared on both sides of the receding lava. Gaster was surprised. What remains is a vast lava lake split in two, with a straight road running through its center. Gaster, Pluto, and Vera were dumbfounded as they watched the giant red land appear, and someone spoke to his bewildered companions that even if the mana is unstable, there shouldn't be a problem going down now, let's go. Pluto thought this guy... ...he split the lava lake just by using the flow of mana, who knew that was possible with Sword Aura. Someone asked Karstein did freeze this place right next to the scorching hot lake on purpose, but why, it's such a waste. He said dragons were such mysterious creatures. He said he doesn't even want to know what goes inside the dragons' brains, let's keep going. He and his party began to advance deeper into the temple, step by step. He and his party walked and walked along the long corridors of the temple. He was surprised to saw something. Suddenly, from the other side of the snow corridor, white snow crystals mixed with strong winds began to swirl towards the Dragon Slayers. He and Pluto took up a fighting stance as if they had been waiting and he shouted yes, about time something showed up. Gaster was surprised and shouted that's... Soon the blizzard cleared around the Dragon Slayers, the wind died down, and beyond them a terrifyingly large, dark shadow appeared. Soon, a penguin appeared, its head nearly 66 ft (20 meters) high and its body circumference at least 49 ft (15 meters). At that moment, the penguin's truly deep and majestic voice rang out, almost telepathically that lowly beings, this is a sacred place forbidden to humans, it's not too late to turn back. He and Pluto prepared for battle and he said look at the penguin, he should trying to be all serious, but he's nothing more than a giant penguin, those cocky dragons, he really can't figure out what goes through their minds. The penguin spoke in a deep, angry voice that how dare the humans ignore his warning... Immediately, the penguin took a deep breath, sucking in a deep breath of cold air and his chest heaving greatly. Someone said ...very well, all that awaits the humans were absolute death. Gaster's expression hardened with tension. Gaster shouted everyone, they should take cover behind him, Vera, she should put up a shield immediately. Soon the penguin's mouth changed into a diamond shape. And a silver pillar extended from between the penguin's mouth and Gaster shouted it's blasting a breath. A single silver flash engulfed the cold air and poured down on the Dragon Slayers, and the fierce cold roughly scratched the magic field, and in an instant, huge pillars of ice rose up in all directions. He and Pluto threw themselves into the air and attacked the penguin. He dashed forward beautifully and fell to the ground and he shouted ugh... Eventually, Gaster and Vera's shields were broken and he said urgh... ...its attack was strong enough to break the entire shield. Pluto too flew away and crashed to the ground and shouted crap, why it's so strong. He took it seriously that it's more nimble than he thought... ...and strong, too, though not as much as a dragon. Once again he heard the giant penguin's telepathic voice was heard that quite impressive, to think him withstood his power. His face hardened. The penguin said this time, he'll go all out. Gaster asked that wasn't its best attack just now, just what's that penguin. Once again the penguin's message resounded majestically that he's a creature forged by the supreme power of the great ancient dragon, Lord Karstein... ...Perileus the seal keeper. [22]
Gaster sighed and said it's been about 12 hours since they entered, they must've walked at least 25 to 30 miles, not including the time they stopped to battle, but considering the geography, walking for that long is impossible, the space is probably warped, which meant this passage is actually less than a mile long. He said that's not the only strange thing. He looking at the wall and muttered this place... ...why they did make a path here, why would any dragon feel a need to create a path meant for humans. Gaster was silent. Vera said good point, it's certainly strange. Someone said it's concerning, but that's not important right now, let's keep going. As he and his party entered the cold, dark passage that seemed endless, one step at a time, a faint light suddenly appeared in their eyes. He frowned. Pluto grumbled softly and shouted light, they did finally reach the exit. Pluto's longsword turned dark. Someone said they've no idea what's on the other side. Gaster drew out mana and said so let's approach this carefully. After a while, the Dragon Slayers arrived at a place where a bridge connected to the ground and led to a huge, almost vast, hollow space that seemed to be at least several hundred meters in diameter. He was astonished at the sight that unfolded before his eyes. Floating in the middle of this vast space was an enormous obelisk that could not be seen at a glance, and dozens of small caves similar to the ones the Dragon Slayers had passed through were evenly distributed throughout the outer wall, and were connected to it by small bridges. Someone said they're here... Finally, he and his party reached the top of the pier leading to the obelisk. [23]
A giant whip made of flesh appeared. He looked frustrated and asked his goodness... what's that thing, it looked like... ...a massive lump of flesh. Numerous tentacles surged through the rocks and embedded themselves in the opposite stone wall, dozens and hundreds of tentacles were fixed to the common wall and pulled taut, and as if a huge tree were growing, a giant tree of flesh grew and writhed in an instant, a truly grotesque and gigantic being. He thought that's the Almighty Creature. Vera's expression changed strangely and asked Gaster a worrying question that what happened if the Dragon Slayers become the soul of the Almighty Creature, they can still go back to being human, right. Gaster's answer was calm and composed that who knew, he hasn't researched what came after. Vera was surprised and asked Gaster don't know. His complexion changed in an instant and shouted wait, Gaster, he did say becoming the soul of the Almighty Creature won't pose a problem, what does it matter that they attain power, strength, and wisdom surpassing that of dragons... if they must give up on being human forever. Gaster bit his teeth and said that's exactly why he told him it wouldn't be a problem. Gaster smiled almost mockingly, his one hand suddenly raised into the air, and shouted confidently that how is becoming something other than a human a problem... ...when he can become one with the almighty power, that's worth trying even if it meant putting his life on the line. An eerie flash of light began to flash before the eyes of he and his party. He unconsciously raised both arms and covered his eyes and shouted his eyes... Pluto said with great calmness that what's that, some kind of lightning is flashing toward the Dragon Slayers. He was surprised and asked he can see, Pluto. Pluto has black air currents in the shape of a figure 8 over both eyes. A strange voice mixed with absurdity came out of his mouth that what... is that. Pluto replied that he's just applying what he learned from darkness combat, he want one too. A voice with unexpected content was heard that declined. The majestic voice rang out once again, containing more detailed information that they've all been rejected, none of them were qualified. In that moment, a mad scream burst out of Gaster's mouth that the Dragon Slayers have the strongest swordsman and mage on earth among them, how could any human be stronger than that, if they weren't qualified, then who was. He also groaned that no... He thought he never wished to become the Almighty Creature, however, one of the Dragon Slayers had to attain that power... ...because if they didn't... As he weakly lowered his head, he felt a presence, accompanied by a rather familiar voice. Someone asked huh, oh dear, the seal was broken already. Another answered yeah, the seal was broken. Someone asked that does mean they're in big trouble. Karstein answered not at all, he told her those bastards will never succeed in getting what they want. Karstein looked at he and his party with an expression that said he knew this would happen and said the Dragon Slayers were simply not qualified. Pluto suddenly smiled and said he saw a lot of familiar faces around, long time no see, Kias, he had no idea he was a dragon. Pluto asked so, what business Kias do have with them. Kiadrys made a very complicated expression and answered yes, it's been a while, Pluto... ...and though he's somewhat involved as well... ...they're the ones who have unfinished business with him. Someone behind Kiadrys took a step forward. He had a half-given look on his face. He thought Gaster's experiment... ...Arin... ...and... Karsenian spoke in a soft, eerie voice that the humans lowly nortals. Karsenian's deep eyes were tinged with contempt and continued the humans treated her child so kindly, now, it's time to pay the price. [24]
He stood there blankly and swallowed. Pluto woke him up from the side, who was just blankly staring and said he should snap out of it. Pluto slowly drew his sword, and Vera also glared at her opponent without saying a word, and he said they can't afford to space out, he refuse to die without at least fighting back. He realized his mistake of standing there dumbly and said Pluto... He clenched his teeth. His eyes, unlike the previously hazy ones, began to have a sharp glare and he displayed the Silver Aura and said ...Pluto was right, this wasn't the time. Karsenian said silver mana... ...humans seem to be so proud of that shade of light. A dazzling flash of light shot out from someone's outstretched palm into the air and she said well, then. Karsenian radiated a brilliant silver Sword Aura and said to him that she'll punish him with the same skill. He blocked the Silver Aura with his sword. Karsenian looked embarrassed. He held the sword, gasped for breath and said he has never been proud of his sword. Karsenian clicked her tongue and said to him that hmph, he blocked it, what an impressive amount of mana for a human. Karsenian snorted, made an evil expression and said to him that then she'll take him a bit more seriously. A formless current of air around him began to blow towards Karsenian, forming a storm. A tremendous roar filled the air as the merciless storm of air currents unleashed by him rippled through the atmosphere, creating a shockwave so massive it felt like rippling eardrums. He thought oddly enough, none of this felt real, Karsenian's face was all too familiar, but she's nothign like who she used to be, yet it's undoubtedly her. Karsenian looked arrogant and domineering as she thrust her Silver Aura down at him, pressuring him. He dropped his sword and one of his hands was on the ground. Karsenian said to him that he was still holding out, interesting, he blocked her attacks well, but that's it. He thought he saw. He gasped and let out a strange laugh, almost sarcastic or tearful that haha... He said ...so Karsenian has been deceiving everyone all this time... He thought the person he loved was nothing more than an illusion. The Silver Aura gathered in his palm and transformed into a sword of light and he said in that case, he won't hold back anymore. A look of bewilderment appeared in Karsenian's eyes and she said to him that what can he does, he's just a human. Karsenian's eyes widened. His dazzling silver lightning howled and swirled, turning into a storm of thunderbolts, heading towards Karsenian, light colliding with light. Karsenian blocked his attack. Calmly, he chased after Karsenian. Karsenian was in the pouring sword light. Karsenian's complexion hardened and she saw him and thought he was quick, but how, and she said just petty tricks from a puny human... Suddenly, his shout rang out ominously that what good was wielding such destructive force... if Karsenian can't even hit him, this was how a human wielded a sword. Someone recited the spell, pretending it was nothing special and said to him that he sure was full of himself, fine, she does admit she looked down on him, as he wished, she'll fight back with magic. Karsenian shouted Heat Wave. His attacks were briefly slowed down, but the Heat Wave doesn't really hurt him. Karsenian looked embarrassed. He pushed the flames away with a silver curtain. Karsenian saw him and thought her magic didn't work... unless he dodged her attack by reading the flow of her mana, either way, this type of trick wasn't possible for a human. He burst into a passionate cry that dragon, she did have fun playing with human emotions, humans were not her toys. He kept pushing Karsenian, screaming repeatedly that the humans do not exist so that she can play with them... ...and discard them whenever. Karsenian was terrified and thought shoot, she doesn't have enough time to use her mana-- A voice echoed that explode and then the surroundings exploded. He opened his eyes wide, blood poured out between his slightly parted lips, and he let out a soft groan that guh... Vera and Pluto threw themselves in terror and he shouted him. Karstein looked back, clicked his tongue, and asked Karsenian that she's all right, fighting halfheartedly in human form almost got her killed, that guy has surpassed the limits of human capability. Suddenly, Karstein saw something. At that moment, him, who had been lying sprawled out like a corpse, slowly got up from his seat. Karstein saw him and muttered as if he was surprised that he just keep getting more and more interesting, he's surprised him was able to get up after taking that blow... ...even though his insides shouldn't been destroyed. He tried to straighten his trembling body and Karsenian said this was perfect, actually. Someone said how dare a human make a fool of her and sure enough, and a green light filled his eyes. Karsenian returned to her original dragon form and said to him that he should prepare himself. [25]
Dragon Command, a type of dragon language... used by the dragons to turn their words into reality, not even dragons can sense the flow of mana used to activate the dragon command, however... ...he had gained the ability to sense the flow of mana... allowing him to deflect a portion of the dragon command to reduce the damage he received, furthermore, he managed to absorb the surrounding mana to facilitate a partial recovery, of course, none of that guaranteed... ...that his power could move a dragon's heart. Someone opened her mouth slowly that human, he dared to humiliate her, why he doesn't try and dodge her Dragon Breath too. He looked at Karsenian with a gloomy face and said not once... ...she has called him by his name. He thought the creature before him was no longer the woman he knew, only a dragon, an evil being, stood before him. In this vast space, there was a huge red entity that made even that seem cramped. Karsenian's huge eyes were dazzling and asked oh. Karsenian asked to him that he's shielding the Dragon Slayers. Vera, Gaster and Pluto were lying sprawled out like corpses, but he stood there with his eyes sharply raised. He answered Karsenian seriously that he can't dodge her attack anyway... and even if he could... ...he'll not leave his friends when they're still alive. He thought his sword failed to protect anything, the least he can do... ...was to try and protect their lives. As Karsenian's mouth opened, air was sucked in and she responded to him with a snort that very well, he should try and stop this, then, if he does, she'll spare that worthless life of his. Karsenian's mighty red flame, like a roar, filled the space with a tremendous noise. He thought he has done enough, there's no way he'll survive after blocking the Dragon Breath, but at least the others will live, that's enough for him. He slowly spread his arms wide and shouted she should come, dragon. He roared that he'll show Karsenian the power of a human. A single stream of fire streaked across the air, rushing towards him, who was standing there. Karstein saw something. He clenched his two fists tightly and created a silvery curtain around his body. The next moment, a river of flames enveloped the curtain of light. Pete shouted the Dragon Breath... Rosarahim said the Dragon Breath split apart. A tremendous roar echoed through the empty space where Karsenian and Eldicreature were. The earth shook and Pluto vomited blood. Pluto raised his body and groaned ugh... Pluto was puzzled when he saw something. Karsenian returned to her human form again, and Karstein spoke to her incredulously that ...hey. Someone said he actually blocked her Dragon Breath. Karstein muttered as if it was absurd that he's starting to feel impressed, although... ...it came at the cost of everything he had. He shed a brilliant light in front of the Dragon Slayers. Pluto roared that no... Someone shouted ...him. Brilliant silver particles began to flow from his body like grains of sand. He weakly raised his hand, and particles of soft light flowed down his bright palm. He thought he used up all of his mana was this it, this was how he meet his end. He thought well, it can't be helped, this kind of end was good enough for him. Vera sobbed and Pluto screamed. He turned his head. He thought at least his sword... ...protected his friends in the end. His body was destroyed because the mana that constituted his existence itself disappeared. Even his vision became blurred, and soon his entire body turned silver and began to fall apart like a crumbling sand castle. He scattered in all directions, silver like the color of his hair, and Pluto watched him slowly crumble into dust. Pluto said he was fool, no one asked him to act like a hero. Pluto bit his teeth and said a silver glow even in his death, huh, dammit. Pluto cried and said he really was the Silver Knight... Gaster sat there helpless. Someone asked Ancient Dragon, he doubt the Elder Karstein will keep his promise of sparing the Dragon Slayers, he could at least answer his question before they died. Gaster opened his mouth in a surprisingly calm voice that there's one thing he's dying to know, just why they weren't qualified. A deep sneer appeared on Karstein's lips and he chuckled and said Gaster's friend died and he's in danger, that's really all he has to say, fine, he'll tell him, becoming the soul of the Almighty Creature required only one thing, he must be a pure human untarnished by the flow of mana.
